Senior Engineer or Scientist 10-Eng-2
TerraGraphics offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to be the on-site manager located in our Kellogg, ID office. This senior-level position will also work with four well established inland northwest offices. Work will include diverse environmental remediation, monitoring, and infrastructure projects including a yard remediation program, mine and mill site remediation, and groundwater/surface water quality and treatment systems within the context of CERCLA and RCRA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate for this senior-level position will have registration as a Professional Engineer in Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months, or a Masters degree in a related scientific or engineering field plus 12+ years related experience. Consideration will be given to professionals with excellent oral and written communication skills and relevant project management experience.
Specific Experience:
  • Specific experience should include multidisciplinary execution of projects ranging from engineering design & bid packages; drainage and grading; and cost estimating: to report writing; construction oversight; coordination with city, county, and state officials re: project implementation; and interacting with clients. Experience with contaminated soils, water, and groundwater is desired. Candidate shall demonstrate experience on all project phases from scope development through closeout. Position is also responsible for high quality products/services and scientific/engineering excellence, as well as daily office management.

Engineering Project Manager 10-Eng-3

Engineer I-II, Engineer-in-Training, Helena. 09-Eng-5
TerraGraphics has an opening for an Engineer I-II, Engineer-in-Training (EIT), for a position in our Helena, MT office. We are seeking a self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented candidate who can work well on a team and independently in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee assessment and construction of projects at various abandoned mine sites in Montana.
  • Develop geotechnical exploration programs, perform geotechnical engineering analyses, evaluate respective data for environmental remediation systems, and prepare reports.
  • Design environmental remediation systems.
  • Collection and evaluation of field data, estimating costs, personnel and material needs, preparing design documentation, and establishing completion dates.
  • Interact with Agencies to acquire permits and approvals.
  • Responsible for schedule and budget management for assigned work activities.
  • Perform job functions under immediate supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or related engineering field. Masters a plus.
  • 0-5 years of experience assessing abandoned mine sites, designing stormwater management facilities and/or roadways, geotechnical aspects of earthen facilities and/or environmental remediation systems such as landfills, water treatment systems, or hazardous waste remediation systems.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a civil engineering field.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet Explorer, etc. and AutoCAD.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; and demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports.
  • Valid driver's license, with clear record preferred.

TerraGraphics Environmental Engineering, Inc. has an opening for a meticulous, detail-oriented Scientific Data Technician in our Moscow, Idaho office. This is an entry level, temporary, part-time position, with varying hours. $11+/hr DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Duties may include data entry, proofing, verification, and tracking

  • simple map drafting

Minimum qualifications:
  • the successful applicant must possess:
  • Two years college-level classes in a science related major or equivalent experience

TerraGraphics has established an open roster primarily for Environmental Science and Engineering Intern candidates. Applications received in the correct manner and meeting the minimum qualifications will be placed in a pool for future consideration as openings may become available in any of our offices. The roster is for all TerraGraphics offices - Moscow, Kellogg, or Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Helena, MT; or Las Vegas, NV. TerraGraphics will also accept resumes for marketing Interns for our Boise or Moscow offices, and will consider those resumes if the need arises. We are interested in motivated college students who want to gain experience in environmental consulting.
