Environmental
Engineering
TerraGraphics'
personnel have diverse expertise in the environmental, infrastructure, and water
resource disciplines. We provide a wide range of services including:
- Project Management,
- Engineering
Design,
- Construction
Oversight,
- Engineering
Reports,
- Construction
Documents,
- Waste Engineering
Solutions, and
- Regulatory Compliance
& Permitting
TerraGraphics has
provided engineering services on projects ranging in size from small petroleum
and pesticide/herbicide contaminated soil remediation, to city infrastructure
reconstruction, to some of the largest Superfund and hazardous waste sites in
the nation. TerraGraphics’ engineering experience is unique.
Engineering Experience
We perform both infrastructure and environmental engineering inside and outside
significantly contaminated sites. Many of our projects have utilized infrastructure
and redevelopment as part of containing and controlling a contaminated site.
Our primary disciplines include:
- Repositories
- Site remediation
- Passive water
treatment
- Streets
- Site Utilities
- Grading and
Drainage
- Flood control
- Solid Waste
and hazardous waste management
- Community redevelopment
- Grant/finance
support
- NPDES permits
We have extensive
experience working with community and infrastructure issues within CERCLA and
Brownfields sites. Also, we have experience in waste management, repository
development, and water quality management. TerraGraphics has led one of the
largest flood control and community reconstruction projects within a CERCLA
site in the country.
Our water resources
expertise also includes several engineering topics as well as natural resources
and environmental science.
Engineering Planning & Design
TerraGraphics has developed engineering planning and design on some of the most
complicated environmental and infrastructure projects in the region. Our staff
have worked on a variety of challenging project sites involving multi-communities,
controversial projects, and a variety of regular and project requirements in
water quality, environmental protection, public health, and community reconstruction.
We also work with teaming partners to fulfill project requirements and expertise.
Some of particular project components include:
- GPS survey
- AutoCAD/GIS
- Engineering
alternative analysis
- Cost Evaluation
- Multi-schedule
design options
- Infrastructure
and surface water controls within a CERCLA regulatory environment
- NDPES compliance
- Multi-regulatory
agency, multi-funding source projects
Construction Oversight
TerraGraphics has performed construction oversight on engineering and environmental
projects within a CERCLA environment. In addition to standard oversight practices,
construction oversight has included elements such as:
- Site controls
within a highly contaminated area
- Material handling
and disposal of contaminated materials
- Contract enforcement
with added environmental compliance
- Interaction
with addition regulatory agencies
Project intensity
can be accelerated over standard construction due to the factors listed above.
TerraGraphics has developed contract administration procedures,
Resident Project Representatives, and interaction with regulatory agencies to
improve project delivery.
Solid & Hazardous Waste
TerraGraphics has provided engineering services for a wide variety of solid
and hazardous waste cleanup and closure projects. These projects have ranged
from the comprehensive cleanup of the Bunker Hill Superfund Site to several
landfill developments and closures throughout the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii.
We have performed
engineering oversight services, reviewed design and construction specifications,
and provided management protocols for several other smelter and lead-related
soils and structures cleanups in the United States and Russia.
Permitting
TerraGraphics’ staff have permitted several types of
facilities and projects. We are familiar with:
- Solid and hazardous
facility planning and permitting
- NPDES
- NEPA
- SEPA (Washington
State)
- CERCLA
- RCRA
- Clean Water
Act
- Incinerator Ash Management and Landfill permitting
- Endangered Species Act
